We are a 4 piece band consisting of Amirul Hakim (Drums), Hafi Zainor (Bass), Ernest Foo (Guitar/Vocals) & Eugene Soh (Guitar/Vocals).
How did you guys get together?
For the majority of the band, we met through a CCA called Music Vox in Temasek Poly, which allowed students to form bands to jam and perform for school events. Ernest had been a long time friend since Secondary School days. We formed in our final year in Poly (2013) wit a different lineup and had to take Ernest on board as our guitarist and let Hafi play the bass when our previous bassist could not fully commit her time to the band. This current lineup started in May of 2014.
What inspires you to create the songs that you do?
Most of the songs begin with Eugene. Musically, every song he brings to the band has a general direction to whether it’ll be feel-good, sad or even heavy, all used to convey the message he wants to bring across in each song. Lyrically, he likes to talk from the perspective of people he meets in life or have observed through his own personal journeys. They often have left a large impact and effect on him one way or another.
What do you hope for the audience to imagine or feel when they listen to your songs?
We bring a combination of our musical backgrounds to our songs. At times we just want the audience to feel as if they were transported to a different place, at times we just want them to be moving and jumping along with us.
Why do you think fellow Singaporeans can relate to your music?
Our music is written for anyone and everyone. Rock never dies.
