How did you guys get together?

We met through mutual friends and cryptic band ads on a local music forum. Everything began with innocent intentions to create catchy sounds with the various (and clashing) influences. It took awhile to fill in the missing pieces in our lineup but what's passionate stayed.

What inspires you to create the songs that you do?

Catchy tunes and spunky melodies. We want to make some different, weird and lively but with a sense of conviction. Thus far, any tune that gives us that head-nodding feeling inspires us to make even more of such sounds.

What do you hope for the audience to imagine or feel when they listen to your songs?

We think that songs should mean different things to different people. They should relate to songs in their own special way. We simply hope that people can connect with our songs and lose themselves in it.

Why do you think fellow Singaporeans can relate to your music?

With the level of stress most Singaporeans face in their daily lives, our music is a good medium for them to let their hair down and dance off all that pent up tension.

You've been on a journey with anaki for several shows now. Can you descibe how it's been?

Anaki has been great to us. We've had so much exposure in live performing and in turn we've managed to spread our music to a great deal of people. Additionally, it's a good place to meet other musicians too. Enjoying their music, and making new friends. This brings the local music community closer, which is awesome! On top of all this, we feel that the best part of Anaki are the people running it! Juliana, Boon Gee, Eiji (anyone else we missed out, we thank you so much too!) You guys have been very welcoming and have taken really good care of us!

What are your hopes for Singapore circa 2050?

Musically, we really want the music scene in Singapore to be a thriving industry. There are countless dedicated and talented musicians (across all genres) and producers.
