Anaki Rocks the City!

Rap Rock

4 friends who fuse rock, rap and metal as one.

How did you guys get together?

Ajid, who had won the Yamaha Asian Beat Best Guitarist in Tokyo formed this band to continue the legacy of rap rock music in SIngapore. With both Dean from Project Ultrasound and Ras who has a lot of experience with gigs, we formed a very strong and tight unit.

Tell us more about your music and your influences.

Our influences come mainly by bands such as Rage Against the Machine, POD, Limp Bizkit and KORN. All our original songs are based on melodic rock tempos with groove beats and jumpy riffs. We want to make our music as radio friendly as possible so that our music will be accepted by listeners of all generations. With our experience from Battle of the Bands and Yamaha Asian Beat competition, we will try to take our music to greater heights.

You guys seem more about having fun than enraged. Let us in.

The enjoyment of our band comes from the interaction of people and family that ultimately leads to great music making, which in turn creates an overall worthwhile & memorable experience.

You guys like different types of music. Ever had difficulty agreeing on which way a song should go?

Although we come from different music backgrounds, we bonded together first as friends and it's easier this way to work together.

Cool, what do you hope for your audience to imagine and feel when they listen to your songs?

We hope that the audience can be united as one with our music and join us rocking out with their fists in the air!

Fast forward to 2040. Where do you see yourselves on the little red dot?

Still rocking out at our old age!
