Lula The Magic Queen
From left to right: Gerard (guitar) Gerald (bass) Jeevan (vocals) Prem (drums)
Tell us a bit about yourselves and your music.
Groove-centric hard rock with a profound hatred for the status quo.
What do you hope for the audience to imagine or feel when they listen to your songs?
To be free, at least for awhile, from the chains of their daily grind. We want them to lose themselves and in the aftermath, find the strength to move forward and thrive.
One of you work in advertising... so if you had a tagline for that, what would it be?
Break free from the material world and let loose to the groove of the magic queen.
What’s your favourite thing about living here?
Somewhat efficient public transport and the prevalence of good food.
Fast forward to 2040. Where do you see yourself on the red dot?
Hopefully surrounded by our loved ones with good memories of the lives we've touched with our music. If the radio still exists then, we'd like to turn it on to find an endless stream of local content.
3 words that best describe your band?
Electric gypsy meltdown.
