..On Surge's Rhapsody (OSR313)
We are a 7-piece nu-metal band.
Tell us about your music and what you hope your audience to feel when they watch you.
We're known for our originals as well as visual performances (masks and stage gimmicks). We would like the audience to feel as if they are watching a freak show with a lot of characters on one stage. For audio wise, we will bring them to a journey of world reality and fantasies from places such as ancient Egypt and java islands, the haunting by exes and... global issues.
Love your masks. Underneath them lie 7 very different people. How do you work togther as one unit?
We try to work out on our differences as we come from different music backgrounds and genres such as post-hardcore, metal, rock and also hip-hop. This combination actually produce a wonderful mix and match as each and every individual contributes to the song. We believe as an individual, we have our own strengths and when we combine forces, it produces explosive music.
You guys juggle jobs, family and music. What aspect about living in Singapore do you enjoy most?
We get to enjoy arts and culture; especially music which makes us equal regardless of race, religion or music genre.
Fast forward to 2040. Where do you see yourselves?
As one of the bands who have contributed to nu-metal genre in Singapore and join the ranks of The Legends.
Before you go, 3 words that best describe your band?
Hype, presence and energy!
